"Tawny Gold" pastel painting

9 x 12 pastel on LaCarte

This painting is soooo close to being done, maybe it is done, but I have to put it away before I tinker with it!  Tomorrow I will look at it and see what (if any) tiny touches are needed.  I am really happy with it.  I'm planning on entering it in a juried show.

Meanwhile, I think I'll tinker to my heart's delight on that watercolor on Aquabord!

    Don't tinker!! It looks just like the view from my house in Red Rock where I used to live (I'm now in Oregon).

    Its wonderful!! I am so impressed with this one, and oddly enough I have been thinking along the same lines for a painting!!! This is the best I have seen, color is so GOOD! and those sagebushes look so like they do! I could go on and on- - - do put this is a show! Maybe the Placerville show!!!Lots of prizes and cash up in that one! Did you use any turpinod on this? I really love it!

    WOW!!! Carolyn!!! I am impressed!!! How it is... oh, beautiful - that not that word - so fantastic beautiful, if I can touch This ground and snow, And - The bush branches! Wow! Colors are AMAZING! :-)
    And so realistic ground!!! Ou! Fantastically!!! This image makes me full of happiness! So inspiring it is!

    Thank you so much Ida and Ti. I'm so glad it makes a reaction to other people besides myself! And, yes, Ida, I used a dark bluish nupastel with turpenoid to start.
