It's fun taking mask off!!!!

After you've painted over mask, it is so fun to take it off and see what it looks like.  Some of the needles were masked, and this is what it looks like removed.  Next, I'll paint a little more so they don't look like they are floating, and this will probably be done soon....

Hurrey! Carolyn! This pine tree so beautiful!!! Very realistic! How are you did so, with mask! Oh! I don't know what is it - mask. This is a aquarelle effect? Superb! If I did know synonyms of this words I would have written them to you!!! :-)
I feel that I look from the ground on it! Great job! ;-)

Thanks, Ti-Igra. Mask is a general term we use for anything that protects the paper by resisting liquid (layers of watercolor paint). It can be masking tape (cut up in pieces and then removed later), it can be wax rubbed on with a clear or white candle (this cannot be removed later) certain tapes like packaging tape (also can be removed later), and a rubber-cement art product by different names from the manufacturer. I use Grumbacher "Miskit" - a liquid friskit. It is removed later by pealing off or rubbing a special rubbery square thing over the paper which pulls up the friskit.

O! Thank you, Carolyn!!!
I understand now! Very interesting information!!! I never use mask! I know about liquid which prevents the colors stay on paper. Now I know the method that you use! Hey-ho! :-)
