"Willow Creek" a pastel painting

I finished this painting today.

On technique:  I heard from another pastelist who took Richard McKinley's class, that she found Kitty Wallis paper in white took watercolor beautifully compared to other surfaces.  So, I hopped on the internet and ordered more so I could have enough for the workshop and practising before I go.  So the next piece will be on Kitty Wallis.  I'm curious to try this out.

Seriously Carolyn, this is beautiful work. You are going to do great in and AFTER this workshop, when things have time to settle in your mind, and you watch his demo;s and hear him talk. I am so happy for you, and you are worth it!! This is very very pretty, and its a difficult scene to do----you have made it so beautiful!!
