It happened today!

Appointments somehow got cancelled, a cold, snowy storm kept me from traveling over the mountains to art class and kept me inside ... and ... it was a good day to paint!  I tinkered and played with this painting, just seeing what worked and what did not.  It felt good to finish this.  I hate seeing unfinished projects sitting around the house!

Wow, looking straight up the tree! I do that often as I lay below and daydream so this scene is nostalgic to me. I tried something similar once with watercolor, and mask and pouring the color. Very intersesting, and I want to try again. This one is very nice and I do like the colors within. Its snowing here, too! Spring weather is rather a bore!

In my opinion this painting is divided in two, the left part is like a very watery watercolour and the right side seems to have more definition.
I like to see those kind of contrasts in one art work.
... and I also love and miss the snow storms... they are really inspiring!
Good job, C!

Wow, Carolyn!
This is a very strong beautiful pine-tree!
I feel like fluffy branches shake, the sky swim for his crown far away!
I feel like tree is twisted his branches! As the ants crawl up- down on the giant trunk the.
This is a wonderful pastel, Carolyn! Unbelievable! Very beautiful and alive! :-)))
Thank you for inspiration!
