This is called "sharing" ... we are on vacation. 15 minutes to do a value sketch and take a photo while hubby hits balls at the practise golf area. Then 1 hour blocking in the painting using the computer with the photo I took displayed, and using the value sketch (while hubby is napping). Then, one hour doing the painting by memory because hubby needs to use the computer....
LOL! Now, it's off to dinner - a night on the town in Palm Desert!

Wow, Carolyn, you will try anything! and I think it worked for this one! It did turn out really well. I think on Deborah Secor Daily painting class I get in my email, she did an exerzise just in this manner!! Memory painting is also discussed in John Carlson's book, and is a great thing to do. Have fun!
Hurray! Vacation!!! :))))
Wow! Cerolyn, I feel the wind on your picture! Infinite space, where the wind is walking! Palm trees sways in front of my eyes! Amazing colors, first impression - the blue-cyan haze in mountains! Breathtaking!!! :)))))
Oooh, Palm Trees! That'll be different for a little change! Can't wait to see how it ends up!
That place sounds great! I specially like the mountains behind the trees. Are those palms?
Enjoy!!!!
Hi friends! This desert location has a lot of date palms. they have thick stems and big heavy tops. There is also a BIG outlet shopping center. (For my friends from other countries - that means a bargain place). We went shopping today for my birthday since I hate shopping for myself and I hate high priced items. Found some classic blazers (jackets) to wear over my classic shift dresses -- for great prices. Move over Jackie O, Michelle O'Bama and Audrey Hepburn - I'm stylin'!
Thats dedication, painting during your "spare time" while vacationing! Great work!
Happy Birthday, Carolyn! :))))
Of course, you are stylin'! :)))))))
It's so cool to spend your birthday in this beautiful place! Oh! It's great!!!
Happy, Happy, Happy birthday :))))
