"Along the Garden Path" a pastel plein air painting
I finished this yesterday. It is 9 x 12 pastel on La Carte. We have had thunder and lighting and downpours and large hail! So I worked inside doing the finishing touches on this painting that was started on location.
How do you do it??? I can not paint all this wonderful foliage and have it turn out so well--and not be confused! I was out yeasterday---and am chicken to try today!!1 Oh well, smoke has filled the area anyhow from some fire. This is wonderful work! Saw you commented on WC, too thanks.
Both of these new pastels are just super! I want to follow the Garden Path & go over the Little Stone Bridge! You now achieve such a wonderfully romantic effect with your pastels!
Carolyn! Thats, GREAT picture, soooo wonderful! WOW! I see you painted it with all your soul! You done such wonderful and realistic! :-))) Yes, I enjoyed with you! Hurrey!!!! Thank you for beautiful mood, Carolyn! And wish you have a nice week! :-)
Welcome to my art blog! This is where I share my explorations and learning experiences in pastel, watercolor and oil painting. I have had this blog for about six or more years. I am currently entering many national and regional juried art shows. I have a website and sell my work from there as well. I started a group called Reno Tahoe Plein Air Painters a year ago and it has grown to about 40 active painters! Each year brings new challenges and exciting opportunities. I have made many friends among other art bloggers and enjoy visiting their blogs. I hope you enjoy your visit here, and click on the links to my website and the plein air painters to see more!

All the gardens you painted so far are so beautiful!

Thanks everyone! I am so glad I can pull of these garden scenes so everyone else can enjoy what I see. The pink flowers are cone flowers (Echinacea).
